Effective June 10, 2026
What you bring to your time with the Lord is between you and Him. Our job is to keep it that way.
Illumid is built to work with as little of your information as possible. When you use the app, we store:
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or browsing activity, and we use no advertising or social-media trackers.
Your profile and the responses you give during an encounter are used for exactly one purpose: generating that day’s personalized scripture encounter. We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose unrelated to the app.
We understand that what you record in Illumid — prayers, struggles, reflections on your walk with Christ — is among the most personal information there is. We treat all encounter and profile content as sensitive data: it is transmitted over encrypted connections, stored in an access-controlled database, and visible only to your own account.
Illumid runs on a small number of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf:
Illumid stores a session token and a backup of your most recent unsaved encounter in your browser’s local storage. These exist so you stay signed in and never lose an encounter to a dropped connection. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your encounters and profile are kept until you delete them so that your history remains available to you. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@illumid.com and we will remove it promptly. In-app account deletion is coming soon.
Illumid is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, note it within the app.
Questions about your privacy can be sent to support@illumid.com.
